Whilst searching google yesterday for a 'classic Chanel red lipstick' I actually remembered that I had this lovely red from Illamasqua sitting in my lipstick drawer (too many lipsticks for my own good!)
Maneater is described as a classic cherry matte red, I would say it's a fairly true red! The pigmentation of Illamasqua's lipsticks are amazing and Maneater is no different, one swipe and you're good to go. With Illamasqua lipsticks being matte I find they are quite drying and not so easy to apply but nothing a little lip balm can't sort out.
When it comes to applying red lipsticks to the lips it can be a bit tricky, especially this one as it doesn't have a pointy tip like most lipsticks have so I just line the lips with a similar red shade (I'm using one from MUA) and an Illamasqua lip brush but you can use a cheap one if you wish.
I love a classic red lip, it makes me feel more glamourous on a night out and more "grown up". Anyone brave enough to rock a red lip? What's your favourite red?
This is stunning...can't believe I still don't own an Illamasqua lipstick. Think this may be my first purchase.
